What We Are
Apelsinovka is a web site created by the Russian Club at UCI, which is designed to provide a portal into the Russian-speaking community of Orange County and Southern California. Our goal is to promote cultural, academic, and social activities geared toward both Russian-speaking people and those interested in the various cultures represented by Russian-speaking people.

Who We Are
We are a group of individuals consisting of current and former UCI students, faculty, and staff, neighboring universities and college students, current and former Orange County and Los Angeles county residents, friends, family, and anyone else wishing to participate in our endeavors. Over time, Apelsinovka has evolved from being a website of the Russian Club at UCI to being a tool for the community to promote Russian (and former Soviet Union) cultural events, help organize social and cultural events, and provide a portal for people to meet and make friends with Russian speaking population of Orange County.

Our Leadership
In the past, leadership was always held by the officers of the Russian Club at UCI. Currently however, because of the status of the Russian Club at UCI, certain leadership roles are held by individuals who may or may not be associated with UCI. These individuals have shown great support and earned the trust of the whole Apelsinovka community. However, past leadership roles must be mentioned to give credit to the key people who have put in their time to create what Apelsinovka is now.

What Can We Do For You?
Are you considering organizing a non-profit organization aimed at providing cultural and/or social events that is relevant to the Russian speaking community of Orange County? Or are you just organizing an event? If so, please let us know how we can help. We believe that this site belongs not to the few individuals who control it, but to the whole Russian Orange County community. We do not charge any fees for our services and we have no plans to do so. Donations however, are appreciated to help pay for the high cost of hosting this site.
