We are most likely going to go again this Sunday (March 21st) also around 11am. At the end of our hike, we talked to another group of hikers and they said that if we were to take the left fork (we took the right), there will be a trail that goes through multiple stream crossings and a waterfall towards the end. So we are going to go explore that. According to the hikers, it's about an 8 mile round trip. I don't know what the elevation gain is.

Same rules still apply so refer to my previous post about what to bring. We meet at the same point as the previous hike.

Guys, for a change of scenery, come visit me in Sierra Madre so we can do the Mt. Wilson trail -- 4700 ft elevation gain, good 5-7 hour workout

OMG, I just found a new favorite in the OC. This was an amazing hike! Lots of rock hopping, stream crossing, lots of vegetation, lots of life (insects and reptiles). And an awesome waterfall in the end. Lots of shade too. Now this was a 5 star hike. I will definitely visit this place every year if not more often.

No, the Holy Jim is a different trail. I think it's a lot shorter if your willing to drive the dirt road. It is on my trails to go on list, but it's only like a 2 to 3 hour hike instead of all day. This trail you start on the Harding Truck trail and make a left at the fork in the road (I think it's right before the sign that says Entering Cleveland National Forest).
